About the Event
Chrystal Genesis of the award-winning Stance Podcast interviews Nida Manzoor whose director credentials include Doctor Who and Channel 4 music comedy We Are Lady Parts. Join us for a conversation on how comedy, science fiction and fantasy can challenge crude narratives about Black and brown communities, and create space for underrepresented stories. We Are Lady Parts was released in the UK this week. The show, written and directed by Nida Manzoor, is a daring comedy about the trials and tribulations of an all-female Muslim Punk ban.
Unfortunately Bisha Ali is unable to take part in this event due to unforeseen circumstances.
